Four works by Patricia Morehead were featured on “Sacred Music Concert: A Musical Pilgrimage in Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary” presented by oboist/scholar Alicia Cordoba Tait and others at St. Procopius Abbey in Lisle, IL, on March 24, 2013. The concert was part of the Seventh Annual Benedictine Pedagogy Conference and consisted of sacred readings by Rev. David Turner, O.S.B. interspersed with works for oboe, English horn and oboe d’amore with piano, organ, cello/guitar, and percussion in various combinations. The four works by Ms. Morehead were “Liquid Light” from Conversations for oboe and percussion; Meditation and Exultation for solo oboe d’amore; “Our Lady of Walsingham” from Three Icons of the Feminine Divine for oboe, English horn and piano; and Disquieted Souls, arranged for English horn and organ. Performers were Alicia Cordoba Tait, oboe/oboe d’amore/English horn; George Blanchet, percussion; Tim Marin, cello/guitar; Patricia Morehead, oboe; and Philip Morehead, piano/organ.
