CUBE plays two works by Pat Morehead

On Monday, June 18, 2012 two of my works were performed by CUBE on a concert at Pianoforte Chicago, 408 S. Michigan ave., titled “Vanishing Points/Quantum Leaps.” The two works included a world premiere of a new work for double bass and speaker, The Stutterer, a setting of a poem by Chicago poet Nina Corwin (pictured). It will be performed with the poet as speaker and Bill Harrison, double bass. Also on the program was my work from 1993 The Edible Flute for flute and piano, inspired by the novel by Margaret Atwood, and performed by Caroline Pittman, flute, and Philip Morehead, piano. The concert also included works by Julian Harvey, Janice Misurell-Mitchell, and M. William Karlins, with guest performers John Bruce Yeh, clarinet, the Lincoln Trio, Janice Misurell-Mitchell, flute, and Irina Feoktistova, piano.
