New choral work by Pat Morehead to be premiered by Highlands Festival Singers

Pat’s latest work, A Summer Rain for a cappella mixed chorus, will be premiered by the Highland Festival Singers under the direction of Melissa Stephens. The concert is in honor of Canada’s 150th anniversary and brings together a massed choir of 150 voices from the North Hastings Community Choir, the Highlands Festival Singers, and the Lindsay Community Choir. The concert will be performed three times:

May 6, 2017, Bancroft, Ontario, North Hastings Secondary School, 14-16 Monck St., 4pm
May 7, 2017, Lindsay, Ontario, Victoria Park Armoury, 210 Kent St. W., 4pm
May 9, 2017, Minden, Ontario, Archie Stouffer Elementary School, 12 Vintage Crescent, 7pm

Tickets are $15 general admission.

The Highlands Festival Singers is a mixed-voice choir of about sixty singers which is based in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.  The choir is under the musical direction of Melissa Stephens and is accompanied by Lauren McInnes.
